The Number of UK Drivers
In September 2020, there were approximately 49,395,000 driving licences registered with the DVLA. Just over 41,100,000 of these were full driving licences, and the remainder were provisional driving licences.

Before you start to learn how to drive, there are a few things you must do. These obligations applying for a driving licence, registering your vehicle, taxing and insuring your vehicle, and, finally, having an MOT.
